Everyone is covering their favorite overplayed song these days. I have nothing against covers but if that’s all you do, then please stop. The world doesn’t need another copy of an original. It needs another original.

There are people who play football. There are people comment on the people who play football. There are even people who comment on the people who comment on the people who play football. Being a spectator itself has become a sport, a profession, a way of living.

But i believe we have a higher calling. I believe we are meant to do something better with our lives. I believe we aren’t supposed to be just another face on facebook, another cover on youtube, or another blog on tumblr. 

In the wise words of Barney Stinson: “New is always better.”

Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.

My mother today asked my father how his day was. My father deals with loans and such. I’m actually not quite sure what he does exactly or his job title. I guess you could say that he’s a banker. Regardless he began talking about one of his clients. Apparently this client’s wife became ill at some point. The client then began paying for her medical bills will his credit card. His rate is so high up now that it consumes a bit over 80% of his income currently. When my mother asked if the wife was ok now, my father replied, “No. She’s dead.”

Whoever you are sir, i am truly, deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you have friends and family who can help you out during this terrible time in your life.
